The direction shift transfer unit also called Pop-up Transfer conveyor which lifts your product and transfers it at 90° to an adjoining conveyor. This lift design does not use vertical guides or cam ramps to help with positioning. No slides or bearings, which make for low maintenance, cushioned lift stops that help smooth out end-of stroke actuation. The transfer is lifted by an air bag actuator which eliminates seals, lubrication in the air prep unit, and complicated air circuits that are synonymous with air cylinders. All air bags are equipped with a pressure relief valve to guard against an over pressure condition. The lifting of the pop-up transfer accommodates the two different heights of the adjacent equipment. Also, the small footprint of the conveyors effectively addresses the customers space constraints.
